Apportioned Trailer

Michigan Apportioned Trailer license plates were used on freight trailers used for interstate commerce. Only the numbering series (00000 R) distinguishes them from Apportioned Truck plates. In 2003, all trailers in Michigan were converted to permanent registrations and issued new "Permanent Trailer" plates (although many Apportioned Trailer plates had previously been revalidated past that date).
